Trash to Treasure

I'm a regular at the local thrift stores, like so many others in blogland. I'd like to share one of my most recent trash to treasure projects with you. Found this terribly outdated clock cupboard a few months ago - paid $2 for it - and could see the potential for something fun developing with a little work. So - first I took a razor blade to the paint on the glass door, and painted/distressed/stained the wood. Then I measured the door opening where the clock used to be, and hooked a small rug to fit right in there. I have a thing for little houses - maybe because I'm such a home body! Anyway, here are the before and after pictures of my trash to treasure experience.

Hi Gayle!! You have a blog!! Woo hoo!

Love the makeover on that clock. Very clever and I can't wait to see the stair runners all done. What a wonderful idea.

Have you thought of adding the follower's gadget? That is how many of us follow blogs now. If you do add it, please let me know so I can sign up as one of yours!
