Here are a couple more photos so you can see the details better.
I absolutely love the antique black background she did. It's been fun to watch this rug grow and progress each month, but I'm sure she's looking forward to hooking on a new project - probably a smaller one! LOL
Vicki was doing some handwork on a couple tuxedo aprons she was making for her sons-in-law - they were so fun to see. She offered to model it for me so we could see it better. I guess she previously made ruffled aprons for all the girls.
Remember the little purse I shared a couple posts ago? Well, Nancy has finished the hooking on her version and now it just needs to be assembled. The colors she used make me think of ice cream sherbert - YUM! I like that she did totally different designs on the front and the back. You can see the lining fabric off to the left. Can't wait to see this one finished.
She also had this rug totally finished - a free design in a recent RHM that she added to and altered a bit to make it her own. This one's cute too!
And these are the rugs she's working on now. She had a small piece of linen and decided to use it to make three small pillows. This one is finished........
.....and this is the one she's currently doing - great wonky little house. The third one hasn't been designed yet.
I started a little rug that will probably be a table mat - made from a quilt design - it will have a light background. Hope it works up quick.
I recently won a fabric giveaway from Kathie Holland who blogs at Inspired by Antique Quilts and they came in the mail yesterday - can't wait to use these fat quarters of great oranges in one of my quilts. Thanks so much Kathie!

I love looking at the rugs! Is it possible to make them with flannel? Or do you have to use wool? I'd love to do one but don't really have the money to buy wool. I already have flannel. At any rate, love all the rugs you showed today!

So many fun projects. That first rug is gorgeous. It looks like a beautiful wool applique.
I like your little rug project. : )
Good oranges are so hard to find--great win!
Love the toxedo apron and the nice big rug. The background is amazing. The colors all go so well together.
The little purse in progress is very sweet. I love the colors.
Thanks for the sharing these photos, everything looks so nice.
Hugs,

Just love looking at your rug pictures, one day I am going to start hooking....too many quilts to finish at present!
Oh the tuxedo apron is fantastic and an idea for me to make for my son. He loves to cook so this would be a perfect gift for him. The rugs and pillows were fun and creative. UH, the hooked Emma Lou design was mind boggling.... I sure wouldn't have tackled it. Great job.

Yvonne's rug is magnificent. I love that pattern but can't see myself hooking something that big!
Hugs :)

All of the rug projects are awesome. Yvonne's is spectacular and really does look like a wool appliqué. Can't wait to see updates on your newest project.
Oh, Gayle, the hooking projects are just beautiful!! Amazing to me!!! Congrats on the win!! Always fun to get goodies in the mail!
Blessings
Hi Gayle. I always love seeing all your photos - from WIPs to finished projects. You have a talented bunch out there (including you!). I have seen the Emma Lou pattern done several times. The one you show is truly wonderful. Congrats to her! I may have missed your post about the little purse - I'll look for that. Looks like a clever idea!
Amazing beautiful things you are all making.
All great projects, but that first rug is out of this world. I want it! Lol - your posts always really make me want to be a hooker!
It is such a treat to see all the wonderful hooked projects on your blog! That wonky house is just to cute! Great orange fabrics... they will make a fun project!
It was so fun seeing you at Kay's the other day. Love all those projects from your SL group. Mimi
Beautiful projects to inspire !
The little purse is going to be lovely - adore the "sherbet" colors of wool. ;)

The Emma Lou design rug finish you show is a beauty. At first look, I thought I was looking at an applique quilt. I had to look close to see that it is a hooked rug.
