Home Tour

I usually record the Nate Berkus show on my DVR each day and then zip through it in about 10 minutes - watching the few things that interest me. Today he featured the home of a couple from Texas who have incorporated lots of salvage & primitive items in their design. I looked around a bit online and found some more pictures of their stuff - they have some really creative and original ideas that are fun to see. You can take a look around at their yard AND home here and here. (sorry I can't seem to post a picture here on my blog)

Thank you for sharing. I always forget to watch his show, maybe it's a subconscious thing, something about how he speaks puts me off.

Anyway, the house is neat. I really like the kitchen ceiling. And that pink laundry room! too cute. It's amazing what high ceilings do for a room. I really miss our high ceilings from our Texas house(but you couldn't get me to move back there for all the tea in China!).

Loved the BIG open feeling, and the large rooms. Would love to have a pool! An I thought the poolside deck was fun. They really had a bunch of custom made furnishings.
Good tour. Thanks.
Enjoy

The footstool is going to be beautiful. She'll treasure it!

so interesting you should post this. My daughter was so interested in this. She showed me pictures on line and we started talking about what she could do. I have done salvage but not the extent they have it.
