Not Much To Show

I've been working on various projects, but in spite of that I don't really have much to share with you today.

I finished piecing this quilt top that has some little hexie flowers in the alternate blocks - wish I was able to machine quilt some circular feathers in each block, but since I can't I'll have to come up with another idea for quilting it. One block got sewn wrong - can you spot it? I'm not going to change it at this point - it will be my humble block ala Lori.

DD#2 is pregnant with a baby girl due in June so I have started working on a new quilt for her. This is the crib sheet she bought from Target and she's designing the nursery using all these colors.

I'm using only solids for this one - they remind me of ice cream sherbert - I was surprised at how hard it was to find them - in fact I wasn't able to find them all in 100% cotton so some of the pieces have polyester in them - hope it won't be too much of a problem.

There ya go - - -

Just like you I didn't accomplish as much on my hooked rug as planned so didn't post. Tomorrow I'll make my post and think people will be more relaxed and peruse the blogs over their Sunday morning coffee fix.

You have some yummy colors there.

well I can't spot the mistake!
love seeing what you're doing,
great sherbet colors, hope to see it when you get done, I never thought you used anything but cotton, so hope there's no problem for you there!

You've got me stumped on which block is sewn wrong. I love the quilt!
I've used some cotton/polys in the past when I needed a solid of a specific color. Why aren't solids easier to find? Maybe it is just Northern Utah, do you think? : )

Too me ages to find the "mistake"! Lovely colours, but no idea how Poly will go in a quilt, as I have never used it.

Great hexagon quilt. It was hard to find the 'mistake'. I wouldn't change it either. Exiting time coming up with a new baby girl to arrive. Pretty colors.

I love what you did with the hexies! I am expecting my second grandchild in October...no sex yet. I like the colors she will use in the nursery.

I LOVE your hexie quilt, Gayle! Congratulations on the expected addition in your family, and she will LOVE the quilt you are making for her. Being "Grandma" is the best :0)

I had to look and look and look before I could find your humble block. If it took me that long to find it (and only because you told me there was one did I even bother to try to look ... I love a challenge!), no one else will ever notice it. Definitely not worth ripping out, IMHO.

I'm making a quilt for my daughter ... using solids in uncommon colors ... very hard to find them, so I ordered mine online. I prefer to shop locally for fabrics, but since she chose the colors she wanted, I didn't have the freedom to swap out colors.

Okay, I can't find your humble block either. You're good. Fun bright colors for that new baby.

Well, whatever is sewn wrong in your quilt top does not jump out at me so looks just right.
