Heading Out!

Hubby & I are heading out for vacation in a few days, and we're going to Mt. Rushmore - a place I've never been to before! We're really looking forward to taking a break from our everyday routine, and will be traveling with our 5th wheel trailer with no itinerary or schedule. If any of you have been there before and can share some information about the area, I'd love to hear about it - we don't want to miss anything important!
Thanks!

Gayle, Just found your blog and am going to check out some of your back posts.
Have been to Mt. Rushmore three times. There is a small town Hillsboro (I think) that has a great restaurant that has a extra good steak. Only serves steak and a lettuce wedge of salad, with home made dressing. Hope it's still there,it's the best and everyone goes there. It's between Rapid City and Mt. Rushmore. Don't miss Crazy Horse either, it's a must see. Our three trips have been on a m/c pulling a cargo trailer but a couple of years ago we got a camper and last year we bought a 5th wheel. Love traveling like that. No schedule or itinerary that's our kind of traveling. We're in DE and spend part of the winter in FL. Have a great time.
