Gift Wrap

One of our son-in-laws wants a fancy new tool for Christmas. We decided to give him a gift card to Home Depot so he could use it to help towards the bigger purchase price. Now I think gift cards are a terribly boring thing to give, but hubby insisted he would be happy with it. However, after seeing a simple tutorial on Kindra's blog (At Home with K), I decided to dress it up a bit so the presentation would be a little nicer. This is what I came up with.

You can see Kindra's tutorial here.

Well Gayle, I am just tickled! You made my day, sharing your gift card holder inspired by my tutorial!! Yours is definitely prettier than mine! It just adds a little something to a gift card instead of a paper envelope. :) Thanks so much for sharing!

What a clever idea. I give a few gift cards each year. I will have to remember this for next year.
Merry Christmas!
Hugs :)

Your son will love every part of that gift. And as they grow older and the toys turn into tech toys or tools, this is definitely the way to go. I'm sure that little pouch will grace many Christmas trees or gifts for years to come. The ultimate "re-gifting" item. I shall put that on my 2011 list.

Merry Christmas. Talk in 2011, I'm sure.

How cute! I always just put them in a Christmas sack but I love this idea. Kindra is so talented, I love her blog!

Great idea Gayle. All my kids love gift cards too. Boring is right. Mimi
