Better Late Than Never!

I've been back from rug camp for awhile now, but busy with visiting family, so I'm just now getting a chance to post. I really enjoyed Cambria and I'm glad I went - met lots of nice people and got to enjoy tons of hooking time. My teacher, Susan Quicksall, was delightful with her soft Texas drawl. Here are a few pictures of my favorite rugs.

I enjoyed exploring the small town of Cambria - some really fun shops. One of my favorites was called Birds of a Feather and there were lots of garden inspired items plus vintage sewing goodies.

I went to the ocean and walked on the boardwalk above the cliffs and got to enjoy a lovely view of homes built right on the shore.

Hi Gayle!
Looks like you had a great time!
Those hooked rugs are so lovely.
I am on to cloth and clay dolls at the moment and still have not tried rug hooking.
Maybe some day you and I could trade one of our creations.
Your work is beautiful!

Sounds like a wonderful time, Gayle! The rugs are fabulous and it looks like the shopping and walks on the beach were also.

Gayle, great bunch of rugs. How fun that must have been.
Getting into different shops is always a treat.
Gosh I can't imagine living right on the ocean like that. How pretty it looks.

So much fun. My inlaws lived right on that hill but up in the pines and no view of the ocean. Spent many days enjoying Cambria myself. Birds of a Feather is one of my favorite stores ever. Mimi
