- - - Covet. At least that's what I've always been taught. But it's really, really hard to keep that commandment sometimes! Last week I made it up to Sharon's house to 'meet' a new piece of furniture she had just acquired for her wool room. This piece is a rug hooker's dream come true with all it's drawers - perfect for holding worms, small bits of wool and other supplies.
The drawers are dove-tailed - - -
- - - and the oak finish is nearly pristine. She was told this used to live in a telegraph office.
It sure looks nice in it's new home, huh? It's such a shame that they just don't build furniture like this anymore.
Sharon also showed me three crates of vintage cream bottles her hubby bought for her - can't wait to see what she fills them up with.
I got to see the project she was working on the day I visited - Valentine's cards for her grandchildren. Lucky kids!

Oh, how do you not covet a piece of furniture like that? I can think of so many ways I could use it!!
Very cute Valentines, too!
Oh, yeah! I'm coveting that beauty from here! What a gorgeous piece!
That's a beauty!! Perfect for wool!
All I can say is "AWESOME"...
Love that cupboard! And the rug in front of it.
Hugs :)

I am not a rug hooker but I could put that chest to good use in my sewing room. I can see why you covet it.
What a beautiful piece of furniture! No wonder you are coveting!! LOL
Okay, I am a repeat commenter--I had to come back and look at that piece of furniture again, and that is when I noticed that the milk bottle crates are stamped with the name of my hometown! Cool!
What a fantastic chest of drawers and I love the grandchildren Valentines too.
I'm coveting now too! That wonderful piece of furniture would be perfect in my sewing room!
Oh I love that cupboard !!!! Oh I wish it lived at my house!!!

Oh my goodness, that piece is gorgeous. I'm going to direct a friend of mine over here to look at it. She has a "little" obsession about drawers :). When we go antiquing and sees a piece with drawers, she just has to open them :).
that's just great, I love the oak finish, and all the drawers. The cards are just wonderful too.
Oh man...I need to repent because I am coveting too. Awesome piece !!!
I'm with Margie, lol! It's an awesome piece and I can see so many supplies that would fit in it. Wow, love it! Sharon is so fortunate to own it but I'm assuming she knows that. I especially love anything dovetailed!
The crates of vintage cream bottles are awesome too! Cute cards that she's working on. I really like how she's torn the paper off the corrugated cardboard, that's a neat effect. Looks like Sharon is a talented person!
OH I have furniture envy, too! Beautiful!
Wow, Gayle...that is one beautiful piece! I love all those little drawers and could make short work of filling them. Is that golden oak? It certainly is in fine condition..you did good!

I like the little creamer bottles too.
How thoughtful of your friend to make valentines for her grandkids.
I hope that you have a great week. JB
I love your crates. They are so beautiful. I was married in Logan Utah. Thanks for sharing such wonderful things to covet. I have a list of my own:) -Steph-
