Springtime

Springtime has been slow arriving in Utah, but I think it's getting closer. To celebrate, I made a new necklace out of old t-shirts in soft pastels mixed with a few pearls. It's been really fun to wear and seems to be getting rave reviews from those who have seen it.

I picked some daffodils from my yard today and have been enjoying them in the house - I forgot what a lovely scent they have! I remember as a kid my mom used to let us add food coloring to the water - as the flower drank the colored water it would make the petals change color - so much fun to see!

Gayle,
Your necklace idea is very cool. And I have never heard of that trick with the food coloring and the daffodils. Now I want to try it.

Spring has been slow to arrive (and stay) in Michigan, too! I am going to the SB retreat in Sept., Gayle. Are you nearby?

Love that necklace. Do you attach it to ribbon? What holds it around your neck?

Rug camp--HOW exciting!! I am a bit jealous. I can't wait to see all you get done and hear all about it. I am thrilled for you.
