The bun feet just unscrewed so it was easy to staple the cover onto the bottom and then just screw them back on.
The seams on each corner turned out pretty well too - I just whipped the two edges together with yarn.
This is what it looked like when the hooking was finished, but before I started shaping it to fit the stool.
I'm anxious to give it to her and see if she likes it.
Hmm..... now I'm wondering what my next project will be......
Gayle, It looks wonderful. I have been looking at stools at the thrift store with a different eye since I have seen what you were planning to do. I think I just might have to try this in the very near future. I just started a new quilt tonight though. I might have to wait til I get that going. I am glad you shared it with us. I hope you pick out a new project soon. I will be anxious to see what you do. Lisa

ReplyDeleteI really like how your kitchen turned out. I can't believe how different it looks. It's so fun to make changes!
Thanks for you comments about the laundry room. No, not too painful. Just took me too long to finally decide. I had the paisley patterns on the wall and Blake kept saying it looked weird. Next time maybe?!
Your stool cover came out so beautifully!! I've hooked one little round stool cover and that was fun. This one looks so comfortable to use. Did you only staple the bottom? The edges work well with the yarn.
ReplyDeleteSuper!
